Grizzly Bear - Ready, Able
This is a beautiful song, and the video is either amazingly cool or mindmeltingly freaky. I’ll let you decide. Grizzly Bear can be a bit eclectic, and truth be told my opinion of their work overall is that of acceptance and appreciation, but rarely awe. Ready, Able changed all of that for me. Maybe it was the video, but I was unable to turn a blind eye to this gentle lullaby that is broken so beautifully by a pounding electronic rhythm. The music itself paints as vivid a picture as the morphing clay that illustrates it.
